Chewy Granola Bars


•2 ¼ cups quick oats
•½ cup whole wheat pastry flour*
•¼ cup wheat germs
•½ tsp baking soda
•½ tsp vanilla extract
•½ cup butter, melted
•¼ cup honey
•¼ cup brown sugar
•½ cup nuts
•¼ cup cranberries
•1 tbsp sunflower seeds
•1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
•1 tbsp flaxseed meal, optional
1)Heat oven to 325F. Grease a 9 x 9 inch pan. Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl. Press firmly
into pan. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
2)*I prefer to use rye or whole wheat pastry flour. All purpose flour will do.
3)***Granola bars are great for breakfast and snack. These bars are low‐fat and loaded with fiber.
