Goda masala is a spice blend used mostly in Maharashtra. It is also known as Kaala masala. Goda masala is made by using Corriander seeds (Dhania), Dry Coconut, Cinnamon (Dalchini), Cumin seeds (Jeera), Cloves (Lavang), Caraway seeds (Shahijeera), Asafoetida (Hing), Sesame Seeds (White), Bay leaf. Goda masala is pungent, but not hot like chili pepper. It is Dark brown to Black in color. It help to improve digestion. Goda masala should be store in an airtight container in a cool dark place.
