Wood Apple
Wood Apple is also known as elephant apple, monkey fruit etc. It is round to oval in shape and grow up to 5 to 12 cm. Wood Apple is hard, woody, grayish-white in color and has scurfy rind about 6 mm thick. The pulp is brown in color, mealy, odorous, resinous with numerous small white seeds. It has pleasant sweet-sour aroma. Wood Apple is a rich source of fibre, Vitamin B.
