Marati Mokku
Marati Moggu is also known as caper, caperberry, caperbush in English. It has a sharp piquant flavor and also add pungency. It has peculiar aroma and saltiness to comestibles.The flavor of caper may be described as being similar to that of mustard and black pepper. It is used in South India specially in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in rice dishes like Bisi bele bath, pulao, also in preparations of masalas. It is not eaten raw, but always dry, fried and ground with other spices before using in recipes.
