Masala Vada
Ingredients
• Tuvar Dhal – 1 cup
• Channa Dhal – 1 cup
• Red Chilies – 5-6
• Green Chilies – 2 (Optional)
• Ginger – 1 inch piece (grated)
• Curry leaves – few
• Oil – for frying
• Salt as required
Preparation
1. Soak Tuvar Dhal, Channa Dhal and red chilies together for 1 to 2 hrs.
2. Grind it coarsely without using much water.
3. Batter should be more consistent to make the soft vada.
4. Now add ginger paste, curry leaves, if you need spicier in taste you can add the green chilies also and mix it well.
5. Shape like vada and deep fry all the vada in oil.
6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
