A radish is a white root vegetable and belongs to Brassicaceae family. It is also known as “daikon” .The texture of the root is crisp and crunchy like a carrot and its flavor is hot and peppery. Radish can be cooked but eaten best as raw. It can also be eaten with salads or as snack with a sprinkling of celery salt.
