Sabudana


 

Sabudana is made from the starch extracted from the pith (center) of the sago palm stems. It is also known as Tapioca pearls,Sagu drops,Kappa. Sabudana is small globules or pearls in shape and its size ranges from 1mm to 8mm in diameter. It provide carbohydrates and is very low in Protein. It is used in puddings (payasam), in gruel or soup and upma.
