Cranberry Cake with Golden Sauce
Ingredients
Cranberry Cake:
• Flour – 2 cup
• Turbinado sugar – 1 1/4 cup
• Milk – 1 cup
• Ghee – 2 tsp
• Baking powder – 2 tsp
• Non alcohol vanilla – 1 tsp
• Salt – 1/2 tsp
• Yogurt – 2 heaping tsp
• Fresh cranberries, all stems removed – 2 cup
The Golden Sauce:
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Half & half – 1/2 cup
• Butter – 1/2 cup
• Vanilla – 1/2 tsp
• Combine all ingredients and heat just until the butter has melted.
Preparation:
1. Mix the dry ingredients together, whisk in the ghee.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, vanilla and milk together, then stir all into the dry ingredients.
3. Fold in the cranberries.
4. Pour into a greased baking tray half full. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 min or until done (lightly browned on top and edges and center is rather firm).
