Pineapple Flavored Semolina Halava


 

Ingredients
• 2½ C water
• 1 C sugar
• 100 g butter
• 1 C semolina (rava)
• 1 C crushed pineapple
Preparation
1. Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid.
2. Slowly melt the butter in another saucepan, add the semolina. Stir-fry over low heat for 15 minutes or until fragrant.
3. Increase the heat under the sugar solution and bring it to boil.
4. Pour the hot sugar solution and pineapple into the semolina. Briefly stir to mix evenly. Cover the saucepan and cook under very low heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the halava to steam for another 8-10 minutes.Serve hot.
