Apple Halava
Ingredients
 • 3 large apples, peeled
 • ½ – ¾ cup sugar
 • 2 tbsp butter
 • ½ tsp cardamom powder
 • 2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
 • 2 tbsp sliced almond
 • 2 tbsp raisins
 • ¼ cup ricotta cheese
 • ½ cup milk powder
 Preparation
 Peel the apple, then shred them.
 Cook shredded apples in a pan with butter over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until water
 evaporates. Add sugar and cheese, and cook for a few more minutes.
 Add raisins, nuts, and milk and cardamom powder. Mix well and turn off heat.
 Grease a 8” x 8” baking dish or a pie plate. Transfer halava to the tray. Cool for a few hours in
 the fridge before serving.
